1. The Government of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank to Finance the development of the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC). The primary objective of the Project is to expand economic activity between Pakistan and Afghanistan by improving regional connectivity and promoting private sector development along the Khyber Pass Corridor. The project comprises of two main components:
- COMPONENT-I: DEVELOPMENT OF PESHAWAR – TORKHAM EXPRESSWAY (PTEX) INCLUDING SOUTHERN LINK ROAD
- COMPONENT-II: DEVELOPMENT OF THE KHYBER PASS ECONOMIC CORRIDOR
2. National Highway Authority (NHA) is the Implementation Agency for this Project under Component-l. The Component-I is further divided into Two (02) Parts:
(i) Expressway Development through Design and construction of the Peshawar Torkham Expressway
(ii) Design and Construction of Peshawar Southern link road.
3. NHA intends to procure the services of “Environmental Specialist for Khyber Pass Economic Corridor Project (KPEC)”. The Consultant will work with the NHA as per Agreement to carry out the tasks outlined in the TOR.
4. The Duration of the Contract will be for Two (02) Years.
5. NHA hereby invites Applications from reputed Environmental Specialists for providing requisite services as per the TOR. Interested individuals should provide information demonstrating their required qualifications and relevant experience for performing the services as per Standard Template Uploaded on NHA Website
6. Application’s template comprising of Qualification and Evaluation Criteria, and Terms of Reference (TOR) can be downloaded from NHA website
7. An individual consultant will be selected on competitive basis in accordance with process stipulated in accordance with “World Bank: Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services” July 2016 (Revised November 2017 & August 2018).
8. Applications prepared in accordance with the submission requirements (Application template), must reach complete in all respects, at the address mentioned below on or before February 01,2024 till 1130 Hours (PST) in NHA Auditorium, Islamabad. The Applications will be opened on the same day at 1200 Hours (PST).
